Norrland is one of the largest Nordic-themed regions in NationStates with a very large community of 177 member nations. Norrland features a very respectable representation in the World Assembly, with 40 member nations.
It was founded on 25 May 2016 by Stockgrove, a puppet of Solborg, to provide a place of refuge for nations oppressed by the newly installed dictatorship in SAMOHI Union. A few weeks after its founding, Solborg decided to brand the region as Nordic-themed and begin expansion. Since then, the community has grown rapidly, and numerous other nations have risen to government positions.
The next election for Chancellor, the leader of the region, will take place beginning on 9 September 2016.
