Orsa

Orsa is a minuscule region, inhabited by a few solitary nations.

Throughout Orsa, traditions are kept strictly throughout the region, punishing upstarts and rabble-rousers harshly. Political freedoms are extended only to close friends and relatives of the leaders of the region's governments. The economy of the region is remarkably unremarkable, with members being neither powerhouses nor basket cases. The median tax rate of the region is 43%, but is frequently higher for the wealthy. The economies of nations in the region tend to be heavily weighted towards the private sector, with on average 22% of the economy comprising the public sector. Commerce within the region is an irrelevant annoyance to governments.

Denizens of the Orsa are poorly educated, with rampant illiteracy. There is a very high level of crime within the region and law enforcement resources are stretched thin. Defense is a major priority for governments within the region, with a large chunk of government budgets being devoted to it. Public transport is an afterthought, with only -1% of total government budgets in the region being devoted to it.

Nobody really knows about the state of administration in Orsa. Observers asked for information, but found nobody was available to take calls. Some government provision is made for healthcare, but at an average of only -1% the provision for healthcare in the region is paltry. Welfare in the region is minimal, with only a small amount of expenditure being devoted to spending on social security. Spirituality is a moderate priority of governments within the region, with-1% of government budgets being devoted to Spirituality.

In Orsa, Social inequality is total, with wealth being held by a tiny fraction of the region's populace. The landscapes of the region are no longer recognizable as such, the atmosphere being unbreathable and the only jungles being made of concrete.
