The region's law enforcement is arguably too well-equipped and overzealous, arresting citizens who dare to commit the most minor of infractions. Defense is an overarching priority for governments within the region. One might suggest they are compensating for something. Public transport is an afterthought, with only 2% of total government budgets in the region being devoted to it.

Nobody really knows about the state of administration in The Federal Union. Observers asked for information, but found nobody was available to take calls. Hospital patients are given credit checks upon passing through emergency rooms, as no government provision is made for healthcare in the region. No welfare is provided in the region. The Federal Union of Asuran States, commonly called simply the Federal Union or abbreviated to FUAS is a politico-economic union of states located on the continent of Asura. The Union was founded in 1952 by the leading Asuran powers of the time.
