Warzone Asia

Warzone Asia is a medium-sized region, with a thriving community of 40 nations and only 4 World Assembly Members.

The straight-backed, broad-smiling populace of Warzone Asia eagerly dismissed concerns of oppression. Denizens generally have very few political freedoms, but some limited freedom is afforded to citizens of nations in the region. Economies in the region tend to be stronger than average. Denizens suffer under an enormous tax burden throughout the region, with a median tax rate of 68%, and much higher for the wealthy. The economies of nations in the region are perfectly balanced between public and private sectors, with both comprising 50% of economic activity within the nations. Commerce is a priority for governments, accounting for an average of 3% of public expenditure.

Warzone Asia does not prioritize education in any meaningful way. Crime is low: the region enjoys well-equipped and well-funded police forces, coupled with efficient but fair judicial systems. Defense is a major priority for governments within the region, with a large chunk of government budgets being devoted to it. Due to the lack of any Public transport, streets are packed with cars, bikes, and assorted noisy vehicles.

Throughout Warzone Asia, governments find themselves confused, with administration departments being so bloated that staff do not know what other staff are doing, with an average of over 8% of government budgets being devoted to Administration. Some government provision is made for healthcare, but at an average of only 1% the provision for healthcare in the region is paltry. Welfare in the region is minimal, with only a small amount of expenditure being devoted to spending on social security. Governments in the region are avowedly atheist - no public funds are allocated to spirituality.

Social inequality is rife amongst the nations within Warzone Asia. The environments of the nations in the region are almost universally appalling.
