The Reich Spaceflight Administration (German: Reich Raumfahrt Verwaltung) is the public space agency of the Grossdeutsches Reich . It was created in 2015 when the Dähler administration reformed the grossdeutscher space program and decided to reorganise the GZR under a new banner. It is under direct control of the Federal Ministry of Science and Research, currently led by minister Carl S. Madsen.

History

The origins of the RRV can be found at the 1940s at the Wehrmacht's Waffenamt which developed ballistic missiles to be used as offensive weapons by the nazi régime. In the 1950s, other uses were envisioned for rockets such as transport of troops and manned orbital trips. Therefore, in 1955 the Orbital Reichweite Verwaltung (ORV) was set up by minister of science Bernhard Rust. Although under civilian authority, the ORV was mostly committed to strictly military activities. Under this agency the Reich was able to launch a man to earth orbit in August 1955 and by 1960 a small orbital outpost had been stablished.

In 2008 the ORV was dissolved and all space-related government activities were transfered to the newly created Grossdeutscher Zentrum für Raumfahrt. The GZR opened the grossdeutscher space program to the civilian sector, abandoning its traditional and strictly military nature, achieving great missions such as the first grossdeutscher civilian manned mission to the Moon in 2010.

In 2015 the new leftist government under Aurora Dähler decided to reform the public space sector and the grossdeutscher space program, dissolving the GZR and creating the RRV with new and more broad powers.
