The Reichswehr (German for "Reich Defence") is the unified armed forces of the Federal Republic of the Grossdeutsches Reich. The Reichswehr is divided in three branches: the Reichsheer (Army), Reichsmarine (Navy), and the Luftwaffe (Air Force).
The Reichswehr is among the European Union's most technologically advanced and best-supplied militaries, as befits the Reich's overall economic prosperity and significant military industry. It is also an extremely well-funded military with expenditures amounting to 40.8% of the GDP (2014), it is also amongst the highest budgeted militaries in the world in terms of share of GDP. As of October 2014, the Reichswehr has a strength of roughly 3,399,800 active troops, making it one of the 3 largest military forces in the European Union. In addition the Reichswehr has approximately 98,000 personnel deployed overseas.
