Assault Guns and Artillery

StuG VI Sturmi

The StuG VI Sturmi is the standard assault used for close infantry support.
Variants:

  • StuG VI Ausf. A = version produced in the highest quantity, numbering about 4,000. It is armed with a 75 mm StuK L/24, with the secondary armament consisting of two MG-22 machine guns.
  • StuG VI Ausf. B = a heavier version of the Ausf. A, it is armed with a 105 mm StuK L/28 cannon and thicker armor. Production runs at around 3,000. The secondary armament, like with the Ausf. A, is two MG-22 machine guns.

Infantry Fighting Vehicles

SPZ 250 Frettchen

The SPZ 250 Frettchen is a light armored four-wheel drive vehicle. It can be used in a vast multitude of forms, ranging from troop transport to medical duties. The Frettchen weighs from 27,500 to 32,500 lbs depending on the variant. About 200,000 have been produced for all branches, and package upgrades are continually introduced to improve the length of its military service.
Variants:

  • SPZ 250/1 = most-produced version that can carry six troops, including the driver and gunner. It has a single MG-22 machine gun mounted in the ringmount on the roof of the vehicle, although a 40 mm GrW-15 grenade launcher an easily be mounted in its place.
  • SPZ 250/2 = alternative version of the 250/1 that mounts a 25 mm chaingun instead of the MG-22. The accommodations made for the chaingun limit the max capacity of the vehicle to four soldiers as opposed to the standard six.
  • SPZ 250/3 = ambulance variant designed for casualty evacuation and light medical assistance. The area designed to transport wounded soldiers replaces the trunk, so the standard five soldiers and one gunner can still be transported. It is sometimes mounted with an MG-22 for defensive purposes.
  • SPZ 250/4 = heavier ambulance variant that replaces the entire back compartment with a large area for casualties. Room for two stretchers is accommodated in the rear, as well as a multitude of medical equipment. It only has room for two soldiers in the front, including the driver. Seating room in the back for two medics is also provided. There is no defensive armament present save the soldiers' personal firearms, but smoke launchers are mounted on the exterior.
  • SPZ 250/5 Rächer = anti-aircraft variant mounting eight FlaR Stachel anti-aircraft rockets and a single electronically-fired MG-22 machine gun. Has a crew of two (including the driver).
  • SPZ 250/6 = command variant with an up-armored chassis and extra communications equipment. A single MG-22 is mounted in the ringmount for defensive purposes.
  • SPZ 250/7 Stier = special forces variant. Most of the armor has been stripped away for the sake of speed. An improved transmission, suspension, and engine are standard. The Stier has a cruising range of 275 miles for operations behind enemy lines with only occasional resupply. GMVs feature an open rear, where an enclosed cabin would normally be. This flat bed area is used to store all the fuel, ammunition, rations and other supplies that the mission requires. The Stier is bristling with weaponry: it has two mounted MG-22 machine guns, an StG-12 light machine gun, a GrW-15 40 mm grenade launcher, and smoke grenade launchers.

SPZ 251 Wiesel

The SPZ 251 Wiesel is an infantry fighting vehicle primarily designed to transport troops into battle while simultaneously possessing the armament necessary to assist those troops in battle. The SPZ 251 is capable of transporting twelve combat-ready soldiers into battle. The standard version is armed with a 30 mm KwK L/55 chaingun, along with two MG-22 machine guns. It weighs anywhere from 32,000 to 38,000 lbs. About 30,000 are in service with the Rotgeheiman Military.
Variants:

  • SPZ 251/1 = the standard version with the equipment stated above.
