Skyfleet

The Kauvaran Mobile Guardian Command Regiment (Legio Expeditum Praesidium Custodes Kauvarus), or "Skyfleet", is the most prestigious military unit in the Imperial Kauvaran Guardian Regiments. It was created on 15 Augustus 1997, when the old Vulpesian CloudGuard was transformed into the current Skyfleet. Its core function involves patrolling between the cities of Kauvara during peacetime, assisting each of the several cities' Guardian Regiments as needed, and keeping the main transit highway and high-speed rail network secure as part of its fighting in the Beast Wars. During wartime, when Kauvara's forces are called upon by her allies, they are usually deployed by said allies. However, in times of great pressure and need for its formidable firepower, the Skyfleet can be summoned forth to deploy intercontinentally at extreme costs. Its powerful airships and compliments of infantry with their light vehicles create a force that is capable of securing a myriad of targets. While it is unable to engage in a large, sweeping offensive on its own, it follows Kauvara's combat doctrine perfectly:

Rapid, high-powered precision quickly ending a conflict before it can become protracted.

An example was the Skyfleet's involvement in the Napadenie War. During the conflict, multiple military superpowers were engaged in harsh and bloody conflicts that did not seem to have any end in sight. Stagnation and stalemates began propping up on all fronts. At the time, the Skyfleet was engaged in a recovery effort in the Constitutional Empire of Socialist Provinces. They were using their sizable ability to transfer cargo and engineering equipment to help rebuild the nation after the nuclear attacks by the Sovietyeto earlier in the war. However, seeing that there was no end in sight, the vessels of the Skyfleet deployed across the lines, soaring for Moscow where they promptly razed its defenses and captured it quickly, assisting in bringing a swift end to the war.

Otherwise, the Skyfleet operates in Kauvara, patrolling between the cities. The airships are commanded by Director-General Cyrus Imberian, Commandant of the Skyfleet and Consultor-Bellator of the Retinue Consultorum, from the bridge of the IKS Sword of Lucis. While it does have a few buildings in Vulpes, as well as stations across Kauvara for landing and resupplying, the primary command and administration is all done aboard the Sword of Lucis, itself. The Skyfleet itself has the organization of a carrier battle group, with everything from the IKS Sword of Lucis and its carried squadrons of interceptors and ground-attack craft, to the heavily-armed battleships Arcus and Remo, right down to small frigates such as the Ironwill and the Steelwoven and even smaller Telum-class Corvette Squadrons. Below is the the order of battle when the Skyfleet deployed to the CESP in relief formation:

• Heavy Cruiser Aurastys: Colonel-Captain Adonius Wulff, 2,600 crew, 17th Vulpesian Guardian Regiment (5,000 Guardsmen)
• Cruiser Fox's Wrath: 1,100 crew
