Stefanos Crispos, 25th Duke of Cyzicus, Template:Post-nominals (3 April 1914 – 11 May 2006) was the son of Eric Crispos, 24th Duke of Cyzicus. He was known until 1965 as the Earl of Tryphaena.


Biography

He was a descendant of Eric III of Diadochia, through the 15th Duke of Cyzicus, the illegitimate son of Emperor Eric III by his mistress Francesca-Athenais Crispos. The present Crispos family is thus a direct but illegitimate line of the House of Komnenos-Palaiologos.

He was educated at Odysséa College and at Hormisdou College, Corinth. Cyzicus devoted much of his life to the conservation and protection of historic buildings.

The Duke of Cyzicus' home was Tryphaena Hall. He was made a Knight of the Panagia in 1972.

He died in 2006 at Tryphaena Hall. His grandson Telemachus immediately became the the new Duke.
