Thomas Howland Allerton

Thomas Howland Allerton (1844-1919) was a Rataiian businessman. He was the son of Samuel Allerton.
He studied at Yale University and returned to the islands in 1868. In 1870 he married Marama Soule, with whom he had children, among them Samuel. Thomas succeeded his father-in-law as Chairman of Allerton & Soule in 1894. He himself abruptly resigned in 1910, when Brewster Howland forced him to renounce.
He died in 1919.
