Valetin Schlessinger (born 7 October 1878) is a Rotgeheiman soldier in the Verteidigungsstaffel. His father is the Rotgeheiman Generalleutnant Bernhard Schlessinger. Valetin was deployed to Hundermenschen during the 10 Days War. He fought at the Battle of Widerhausen and Battle of Neuhäusser, the latter engagement of which saw him wounded in action and placed in a field hospital for the duration of the war. In 1916, he and his unit were deployed during the Invasion of Scheinfeld, where he was again wounded. Schlessinger was honorably discharged in summer of 1916.
In 1900 he married Judith Leistner, with whom he has a son, Johann (born 2 August 1901).
