Wilhelm I (Born December 8, 1965) is the King of the Kingdom of Corona and he ascended the throne after his father, Otto V was assassinated in 1986. He is most renown for his very strict policies on law breaking and attempts to restore law and order in Corona, leading to some controversy over his brutal tactics.

He grew up as an only child and once his father was assassinated, he tried to launch an investigation that failed. His daughter was also kidnapped after her birth in 1992 but she was recovered in 2010. Wilhelm has maintained a very isolationist stance even until recently and still remains hesitant in getting involved in too many foreign affairs.

Early Life, Education

Wilhelm was born to King Otto V and Queen Marie Louisa in 1965 in the Royal Castle in the Kingdom of Corona. He was the only child of his parents and received a very good education at the hand of private royal tutors. As a young boy and man, Wilhelm always had a love for sports and exercise. He used to go hunting in the surrounding forests, was an expert as swordfighting and archery, and used to do full-time weightlifting. He even did some wrestling in his teens as he became fit enough and after he learned all he could from his tutors, he attended the military academy for more military training and such. He was married to Princess Thelma by an arranged marriage.

Ascension to the Throne

Wilhelm's ambitions were cut short after his father was assassinated and he was immediately established as king, being coronated the next month in 1986. In the following months, Wilhelm launched a thorough investigation to discover who assassinated his father but the assassin was never caught and it remains a mystery to this day. Such a mystery constantly plagued Wilhelm's government as the people demanded answers and were upset with his lack thereof. Wilhelm also began to struggle with keeping law and order within his own kingdom.

In 1992, a daughter was born to Wilhelm and Thelma despite birth complications but, soon after, she was kidnapped. In the next eighteen years, law and order began to falter as thieves and criminals began to run rampant and Wilhelm instituted fierce punishments, causing him to receive condemnation from other leaders including Weselton and the Southern Isles, who alleged his actions were inhuman and overly-brutal. Some sanctions even were laid on Corona and protests began to break out the autonomous territory of Islandia who demanded more freedoms.

Despite such unrest, Wilhelm was able to hold his kingdom together and by 2008, the economy had righted itself and the populace returned to their contented state with heavy police action cracking down on thieves and crime. In 2010, Princess Rapunzel was returned thanks to a former thief named Eugene Fitzherbert, who Wilhelm immediately pardoned. Since then, Wilhelm was able to convince some of the nations to begin diplomacy with Corona again, although they still get pressure for their drastic punishments
