World Cup 85 is an international football tournament set to be held in Farfadillis and Mriin. The qualifers will have organizational support from the football associations of Kelssek and Zwangzug.

Host selection

There were two bids, a Vilitan plan bid from four associations led by Farfadillis and Mriin, with Kelssek and Zwangzug to provide organizational support for the qualifiers and committing to bid for the Cup of Harmony, and a conventional two-host bid from Pasarga and Saintland.

Teams

Thirty teams qualified for the World Cup from the 195 teams entering the qualifying phase. The two co-hosts qualified automatically.

Qualification

A total of 195 teams entered the qualification stage, forming 15 groups of 13 teams. The teams played each other home and away, with the top 2 teams from each group qualifing for the World Cup Proper. Vilita became the first team to qualify on Matchday 19 following their 7-2 win over Qasden. As of Matchday 22, 9 teams have qualified, while a total of 73 teams are mathematically in contention for the remaining 21 spots.
The qualification campaign had set many records for individual nations. On Matchday 12,Taeshan scored a national record 10-1 victory over The Appraisal to the Almighty MR TAYTO. Poafmersia also got their biggest victory in a World Cup qualification campaign with a 4-0 win over Revatnagar in Matchday 11. They later matched the record of biggest winning margin in Matchday 22, with a 7-3 away win over Shokpos.

Teams were allocated to four pots on the basis of their KPB world ranking at the end of qualification. As hosts, Farfadillis and Mriin were placed in pot one.
