Karl Schnauze (18 January 1882 – 2 May 1916) was a Rotgeheiman Sturmbannführer (Major) in the Verteidigungsstaffel. He served the Battalion Operations and Training Officer (S-3) in the 2nd Panzer Battalion, 37th Panzer Regiment, 37th VS-Panzer Division Rote Teufel. He was deployed to Hundermenschen during the 10 Days War and to Scheinfeld during the Invasion of Scheinfeld.

In 1902 he married Danielle Flußstein, with whom he had no children. They divorced in 1904.

In 1916, Schnauze's division was once again deployed as part of the Rotgeheiman contingent during the Invasion of Scheinfeld. On 2 May, his position was shelled by enemy artillery. During the ensuing barrage, he and his brother (who was also serving in the 2nd Panzer Battalion) were killed.
