Jakob Schnauze (4 March 1884 – 2 May 1916) was a Rotgeheiman Hauptsturmführer (Captain) in the Verteidigungsstaffel. He was deployed as part of the Rotgeheiman force during the 10 Days War, although he was not directly involved in combat operations. During the 10 Days War, Schnauze was placed in a separate division from his brother, although they were allowed to transfer into the same division after the war.

Schnauze served as the Division Intelligence Officer (S-2) for the 2nd Panzer Battalion, 37th Panzer Regiment, from 1914 to the Invasion of Scheinfeld, during which he and his brother were both killed in an artillery barrage.

In 1907 he married Lauren Mehr, with whom he had no children.
