The '''Amberian Islands Premier League''' is the top football division in the [[Amberian Islands]]. The league was founded in 1995 and it is organised by the [[Amberian Islands Football Federation]]. It is currently composed of 10 clubs playing in the form of a round-robin tournament, with teams playing four times against each other during the season. At the end of the season, one team is relegated and one is promoted from the [[Amberian Islands Second League]]. There are 10 clubs playing in the Amberian Islands Premier League. During the time of the season each club plays 36 games in total. They face all the others 4 times, twice at their home stadium and twice at the stadium of their opponents. Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw with no points being awarded for a loss. Teams are ranked based on total points, then head-to-head record, then goal difference, and then goals scored. When the season ends, the club with the most points is crowned the champion and gets a spot in the [[Champions’ Cup]]. If points are equal, the head-to head record and then goal difference determine the winning team. The two teams that finished below the champion are elligible to enter the [[Globe Cup]]. The one lowest placed team is relegated to the [[Amberian Islands Second League]] and the top team from there is promoted in its place.
