Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020 (also known as MEHVEH 2020, VM2020 ) will be the fifth edition of the music contest, which selected the Britonish act for an upcoming WorldVision Song Contest and World Hit Festival. The competition will be organised by Brityunik Vefecosoin Cairkovoin (BVC), Britonisea's public broadcaster which focused on home-grown shows rather than international ones. The competition took place in six weeks, five weeks of live shows.

Format
BVC made little changes to the voting system for the 2020 edition and how the votes are revealed during each live show. The voting split remains the same as it was for the past four years (25:25:50) with the Britonish Jury having a say making up 25% of the vote, the BritonishTelevotes will make up 25% of the votes while the international juries will make up the remainder of the votes. Nations across the multiverse have taken a keen interesting in participating in Vha Mehlodhivestoile with several of them broadcasting live in their own countries. BVC has stated that a maximum of eight international juries will be allowed to vote during the Semi-Finals of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020. BVC thought that the ranges between the international juries were very small compared to that of the Britonish Juries’ because the Britonish Juries’ votes are distributed in a different way to that of the televotes and the international votes. BVC will keep its 2019 way of collecting votes [12, 10, 7, 5, 3, 2, 1, 0] which separates first place and last place more than it did in 2018 (three points larger gap) while also making 1st and 2nd place more grouped together along with 3rd and 4th together and 5th and below.
In the Grand Final, all twelve acts must perform their songs live. Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020 viewers will be able to vote for their favourite act from the start of the show until the lines close minutes after the International Jury votes come through. BVC was fairly happy that 11 international juries participated in Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018 and the 13 that participated in 2019. In Phase 1, the International Jury will vote for their ten favourite songs using the WorldVision Song Contest scoring system [12-10-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1], with their 11th and 12th favourite songs receiving 0 points. This year, there will also be the inclusion of the ABEN Jury, which is a mixture of professionals from Aloquirbe and Britonisea (who didn’t make up the Jury before), Estogium and Nightom. After all the International Juries have voted, in Phase 2, we will then travel around Britonisea to find out the results of the Televote. Britonisea’s televotes will be split based on how many nations have voted - with Britonisea making up a minimum of 40% of the total vote [((number of nations voting) - 40%) Rounded to the nearest whole number]. Vha Mehlodhivestoile has predetermined the voting areas.
Bidding & Campaigning
This year, there were a pre-determined decision on the cities that would be chosen to host Vha Mehlodhivestoile. The cities were chosen to make sure Vha Mehlodhivestoile is being held in a wide range of places, including Ghiezland. The reason for picking certain cities is to celebrate the Best of Britonish, with Alshkan being picked as the host of the Grand Final due to it being the place where Britonish is most widely spoken (except for Kyvivre) but also it's proximity to Estogium. Doportedas was also chosen too as the capital of the country.

In 2017, the first act was revealed during the first week of January. However in 2018, the first act was revealed during the second week of February with this being moved forward a week for February. Due to the earlier start of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2020 than those editions, it is likely that the Artist Reveal will happen in January but this hasn't been confirmed by BVC.

- Semi Final 2 is being broadcast at 6:30pm Britonish Time instead of the usual time slot of 8pm due to the World Hit Festival 50 taking place. Different nations have opted for different ways on how to get around this.
- Achaean Republic decided to use AS2 to broadcast Vha Mehlodhivestoile instead of AS1 as there is a planned pre-WHF50 show during VM2020 Semi-Final 2, but the nation still would like to broadcast VM2020 live.
- Like ABEN, Izmedu, Togonistan, Scotatrova will all be broadcasting Vha Mehlodhivestoile at 6:30pm Britonish Time.
- Nations unmentioned are unaffected by this issue.
- Semi-Final 3 is being broadcast during WorldVision Song Contest 80. This means, for many of the broadcasters, they have to make a decision on whether to show Vha Mehlodhivestoile live or opt to watch WorldVision instead.
- ABEN are unaffected as all nations are showing it via Brityunik Vefecosoin Cairkovoin - this broadcaster does not broadcast WorldVision Song Contest.
- Achaean Republic, Izmedu, Talvezout and Scotatrova will show Vha Mehlodhivestoile at a different time, with Scotatrova broadcasting Semi-Final 3 on the Sunday after the 14th March 2020.
- Unmentioned nations are unaffected by this issue.
- [1] In some nations, calculations differ to that of the model used to calculate how many watch television. In Britonisea, the millions are measured in households (It is assumed approximately 2.4 people per household in Britonisea, so a rating of 11.87 = approx 28 million people raw). In other nations, the percentage = an approximation of raw number of viewers.
