Christian Ross (born 5 January 1974) is the current Prime Minister of Sarenium and Leader of the Labor Party, having led the party onto win a majority in the 2017 elections, winning both the House and Senate. He is considered to be a Labor Progressive due to his views on gun rights, marriage laws and indigenous rights. He served in the Navy for a period of 12 years and acquired a Distinguished Service Medal and the Cross of Valor. After departing the Navy he commenced campaigning vigorously for the Labor Party pre-selection to become the nominee for the seat of Hackney, being elected to it in 2007.

Before becoming Prime Minister, Christian Ross served in the Shadow Cabinet of Daniel Macmillan until 1 July 2016 when he took over as Leader of the Opposition and Labour Party. Daniel Macmillan's preferred successor, George Christensen lost to, then, Shadow Secretary for Industry, Christian Ross who was elected with Tanya Plibeserk, who was then the Shadow Secretary for Health. His time in the Navy included his position as a Commodore.

Early Life and Military Career

He was born on 5 January 1974 to Emma and Niam Ross in Melbourne, Meia. He was born in the Women's and Children Hospital in Melbourne at approx. 7:54 AM, local time. He graduated High School among the class of 1992 but had realistically left school the year before and was a Navy Cadet. From 1991 till 2003, Christian Ross served as a member of the Navy, gaining notability for his rapid reaction time. In 1993, the SMS Callahan collided with a shallow water reef on a sail past the Northernmost coast of Australia. The hull was shattered and the ship nearly sank, Ross managed to save twenty members of the crew and almost killed himself trying to save another two. Upon returning to Sarenium he received the Cross of Valour from President Dustin Spencer. He would later receive the National Service Medal in 1996 upon being qualified for it. He was promoted to the rank of Captain in 1997 and led the SMS Callahan.

His command over the SMS Callahan was cut short in 1999 when Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Evan Greenwich's attempted assassination occurred in front of Christian Ross who was at the time an invited guest of former President Oliver Obbons who'd awarded him the NSM in his final days as President. Ross was accredited with protecting President Obbons and Director of the National Intelligence Agency, Alain Bronson. Although, his accreditation was not made official until 2014 when President Bronson named him as an Officer of the Order of Sarenium. President Avery Addams reluctantly accorded him a personal promotion to Commodore in 2000 against the express wishes of Vice Marshall Blake Sanders who instead believed that Ross had gained the experience and garnered the requirements for a Rear Admiral effectively. Ross tendered his retirement from the Saren Navy at 1300 Hours to Admiral Hubert Humphreys who was reported to say, 'a future as bright as yours shouldn't be cut like this'.

Member of Parliament

He won the pre-selection for the Labour Party's seat of Hackney in western Meia where he went onto win his seat in the House of Commons. In 2006 when Alain Bronson won the 2006 Presidential Election it was reported that he was considering a change of political affiliations but his consideration was erased when he was offered the position of Labour House Whip. He held the position of whip until 2011 when the abrupt resignation of Peter Slipper as Speaker of the House created a vacancy, this required Deputy Speaker of the House, John Lordson to assume the office until later in the year. While Speaker, Ross was reportedly considered as a replacement as Deputy Speaker but he turned it down to keep his whip position.

In 2012, ahead of weak showings for the Labour Party, Daniel Macmillan seized control of the party and offered Ross a position as Shadow Secretary of State for Industry. Ross' bold new infrastructure plan fared well in his home state and is seen as the reason behind why he would win the party leadership four years later. In 2013, the Labour Party was dealt with a major loss of seats and in 2016, Macmillan lost the second election in a row. Following the ousting of Adrian Hemsley, Macmillan was also removed as his Opposition and Ross nominated himself for the position. Winning the leadership and acclaiming Tanya Plibeserk as his deputy. His government would go on to defeat Julie Bishop's Tory Government in the 2017 Double Dissolution election.

Prime Minister (2017-)

Claiming victory on 11 February 2017, Christian Ross delivered an infrastructure and broadband plan intended to innovate the nation further but a Cyrodiiillic invasion in May of 2017 placed his budget proposal on hiatus as conscription had to be reinforced. In the June treaty he was judged on both sides for how he would deal with peace. The Tory Opposition led by newly elected Tory Leader, Jacob Kilkenny called it 'weak and pathetic'. Kilkenny's continued attacks on him would proceed to damage his credibility with his party. In December of 2017, Ross conducted a behind-doors negotiation with the Slatsen Government to push for a restarting of Saren-Slatsen ties. In February of 2018, this agreement was refused by the Senate in a tie-broken vote of 53-52 while the House passed it with 390-239.

Personal Life

Christian Ross remains unmarried with no children and has repeatedly refused any suggestion of him being beholden to any faith.
