Detlef Thomas Stratkotter (born 2 June 1860) is a Rotgeheiman Großadmiral (Grand Admiral) in the Rotgeheime Kriegsmarine. He is currently in command of the Arata Flotilla, a large ad hoc group of ships from various units in Flotilla One, First Galactic Fleet, on a Rotgeheiman colonization excursion to the far-distant world of Arata.

Stratkotter received recognition for his command of the Arata Flotilla during the Arata Skirmishes, a conflict on the colonized world between two rival factions, the Federation of Free States-backed nations of Aedruvia and Republic of Wreptzle against a the partnership of Rotgeheim and Northern Prussia. Under his leadership, the Arata Flotilla engaged the enemy fleets in orbit, destroying six vessels and capturing three, at the loss of only one frigate. Since his victory over Arata, Stratkotter has overseen the building of permanent settlements on Arata, and has requested the government of Rotgeheim to colonize additional worlds.

In the early 1880s, Stratkotter married Annaliese Schmidt, a longtime childhood friend. The two have a single child together, Peter.
