Joseph Howland

Joseph Howland (1822-1895) was a Rataiian merchant and politician. He was the son of Micah Howland.
He grew up in Rataii, but studied at Yale University. He worked for Gordon & Howland, where he later served as Chairman. Joseph also served at the House of Lords, the Rataiian parliament.
In 1849 he married Emma Soule, and they had several children, among them Brewster.
He died in 1895.
