Levkados Heavy Industries, Ltd. (Greek: Λευκάδος Βαριά βιομηχανίες, Lef̱kádos Variá viomi̱chaníes; French: Lefkados Les industries lourdes) (informally LVHI) is a Diadochian multinational engineering, electrical equipment and electronics company headquartered in Atlantis, Diadochia, with regional offices in Olympias and many other cities in Pandos.

Through its defense-related activities it is one of the largest defense contractors in Pandos in terms of revenues, and the largest based in Diadochia.

Levkados Heavy Industries is one of the core companies of the Levkados Group.

History

In 1846, Konstantine Levkados began building a shipyard. After his father's death in 1846, the family business Levakados Shipping begin suffering greatly and lost large amounts money being forced to declare bankruptcy. Konstantine Levkados managed to salvage some of the company by building a Shipyard that would become Levkados Heavy Industries. With control over the shipbuilindg process, Levkados could acquire his own ships rather than hire foreign or competetive companies to build his ships. The first dry dock was completed in 1869.

In 1894, Levkados began leasing its shipyards to the government By 1897 ship servicing had been added to the company's portfolio. Meanwhile additional dry docks were completed in 1893, 1896 and 1905. By 1914 the company was produced industrial machinery and merchant ships. By the end of the twentieth century Levkados was one of the largest private firms in Diadochia, active in the manufacture of ships, heavy machinery, airplanes and railroad cars. From its inception in the 1840s, the Levkados shipyards were heavily involved in contracts for the Imperial and Royal Navy. A role it still holds.
