The Montesardi Air Force is one of the three military branches of the Federal Armed Forces.

History

With the first Montesardi aircraft made by Wheat Fluer Elian and her partner Perconvik, the nation was undergoing the Violet Revolution in which General Armand du Fillyponté considered using the aircraft for combat. Officially, the 1st Reformist Army Air Wing was declared, with a total of 20 biplanes, on July 5th of 1925. The Air Wing had very few engagements, only attacking small bands of rebels and Fillician bandits. Most of these engagements proved successful, Elain and her partner Perconvik began manufacturing more planes.

Proving its success in combat, the Montesardi government created a second air wing, and continued to expand the numbers until 1932, when Armand considered it essential to separate them from the Reformist Army. With the Aralillas Arms Act of 1932, the Reformist Air Force was established on April 22nd of the same year. Now being separate from the army, the Air Force began growing in numbers and continued to protect the nation’s skies. The INAGE reported that the air force had a total of 2450 aircraft at the end of 1945.

The Socialist Coup of 1973

With the socialist rise of power, the air force joined in the efforts to overthrow the Armand Regime, with their assistance, they toppled the regime with ease, having engaged in few aerial strikes against the Fillyponté Regime

Organization

The Prime Minister of Montesardo-East Adanzi is commander in chief of all military forces with day to day control left to Lieutenant General Alas Doradas Falladas. The Montesardi Air Force is divided into four operational commands, the Central Defence Command, the Military Transportation Command, the Strategic Air Command, and the Naval Aviation Command.

Montesardi Naval Aviation

Unlike other nations, the Montesardi Naval Aviation is under the control of the Montesardi Air Force. However, the Montesardi Navy also has certain control over the command due to the relative ties that they hold. To simplify operations, the command is allowed to make autonomous decisions for itself without the need to consult with the central structure of the air force.
