Branches of the Federal Armed Forces

Montesardi Army

Main Article: Montesardi Army

The standard ground forces of the Montesardi Republic. The army dates back to the early 15th century, having been formed by the Montesardi city states in efforts to counter Fillician raiders and hoards. It was officially founded on December 7, 1886 after the founding of the Montesardi Freelands, shortly after engaging against Fillicia in the War of Union. Later on, it also engaged in the Violet Revolution, but was dissolved temporarily as social unrest increased. The current form of the army is from after the Socialist Coup of 1973, currently undergoing heavy reforms.

Montesardi Air Force

Main Article: Montesardi Air Force

The Montesardi Air Force was created as an independent branch after 1944 under the National Modernisation Laws enacted by the Fillyponté Regime. The air force is regarded as one of the most important branches, due to national production in the aeronautics industry and the use of airlanes during historic conflicts.

Montesardi Navy

Main Article: Montesardi Navy

The naval force of the Montesardi Republic. It was founded in 1886 with the outbreak of war against Fillicia in the War of Union. It is the smallest branch by numbers, but it maintains one of the most modern combat forces around, as are to note the Montesardi Marines. Under the Stratzhoof administration, the navy has scrapped and replaced many of its older ships, now purchasing modern, foreign equipment instead of outdated Montesardi designs.
