The Republic of Provincia is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by President George Roberts with a fair hand, and notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. The hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.
There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, liberal individuals concentrates mainly on Religion & Spirituality, although Law & Order and Social Equality are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Port-of-Spain,Trinadad State. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Pizza Delivery industry, followed by Information Technology and Beef-Based Agriculture.
Eminent domain has been abolished, nude art is becoming wildly popular, all recreational drugs are legal, and ethnic minorities are often refused admission to some of the nation's best schools. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a serious problem. Provincia's national animal is the Dolphin, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to heavy metals seepage into national waterways, its national religion is Christianity, and its currency is the Caribbean Dolar.
