Otto von Henslen

Count Otto von Henslen (1864-1939) was a Braslander nobleman. He was born the son of Count Ulrich IX von Henslen.
He was one of the closest friends of Crown Prince Karl, the tragic son of King Frederick IV who would never reign.
As a younger son, he took a career in the Armed Forces. He also served at Court and served as Aide-de-camp to Frederick IV, who decided to appoint him as Master of the Horse, one of the most prestigious offices at the palace.
In 1895 he married Countess Philippa von Urbach, who was a rich heiress. They had four children: Blanka (born 1896), Madeleine (born 1898), Richard (born 1901) and Franz (born 1905).
Otto and his family lived at a 'grace and favour' mansion in Markund.
He died in 1939.
