Baron Peter d'Ipswatten (born 1935) is a Braslander painter and sculptor. He is the son of Baron Philipp d'Ipswatten.

He was born in one of the most prominent families of Brasland. Despite being of only baronial rank, the Ipswattens have always made great marriages and served at Court with distinction. However, Peter had a rebellious character and was not interested in following the family traditions. After graduating from Rottendorf, he travelled to La Sorbonne to study Art, becoming a part of a bohemian circle that influenced his tastes and behavior. He had several affaires, drank too much and shocked his family with his odd conduct. He returned to Brasland in 1960 and started to paint and sculpt, creating pieces that were much praised by the experts. He had exhibitions in Markund and Halvan, as well as in Paris, the Resurgent Dream and Knootoss.

In 1965 he met the beautiful Countess Barbara von Alderberg, who was also a rebellious child from a prominent family. She was a model, something frowned upon by the nobility, and she was a part of bohemian circles. They fell in love and married in 1967, having two children: Bastian (born 1969) and Paula (born 1971). However, their union was quite stormy and they were both unfaithful. They separated in 1976, but in 1981 Barbara suffered a terrible accident that left her paraplegic. Peter took her to live with him, although they remained separated until 1988, when they rekindled their relationship.

During the 1990s, Peter opposed the republican regime for its cultural censorship and repression. Many of his works were confiscated and burnt as a way of intimidating him. As a result, and because he had a wife that he had to care for, he moved to the countryside, where he and Barbara led a quiet life. After the restoration of the monarchy, they have remained there, although the Baron frequently travels to Markund, where has given several new exhibitions.
