Prince Frederick of Brasland (born 1969) is the son of Prince Christoph of Brasland.

He served in the Royal Guards from 1991 to 1994. After the fall of the monarchy, he started to manage his family's estate.

In 2001 he married Celia Fersch, a commoner of middle class origins. The prince did not ask King Paul II (then in exile) to approve his marriage, as he knew he would not give his consent to the match (Balkronn princes are expected to find their wives among royalty or nobility). As a result, neither Celia nor their children bear royal titles.

Frederick and Celia have three children: Dorothea (born 2002), Alexander (born 2003) and Juliette (born 2007).

In 2010 the prince asked King George IV to confer royal rank to his family. However, the King refused, and instead created Celia Countess von Balkenstein with the style of Excellency. This title and rank was extended to the children and to Frederick's legitimate male line descendants.

The family lives in Balkenstein Castle.
