Apple Island is a minuscule region, devoid of any nations.

Early History

Apple Island was founded in late October 2013 by The Wholly Exceptional Land of Thoreus. For the first month of it's existence, it was a small region, not miniscule, having 3-5 nations inside it at a time. After the region was featured for a day in mid-November 2013, a new nation straight from the South Pacific, The Federation of Cognigotoapagawayiagan, joined following New Volerberg and Meowtremulous, the two active non-founder nations in the region. Cognigotoapagawayiagan gained WA Delegate status about three weeks into it's existence, after Meowtremulous rejected the position. Cognigotoapagawayiagan reformed the entire regional government system for the first time in early December 2013, when more nations were moving to Apple Island rapidly. By January 2014, the region reached it's highest ever population, with over 30 inhabitants.

Height of Apple Island's Activity

By January, Apple Island became a highly populated region bustling with activity. By this time, Thoreus proposed the idea of becoming a military defender region. Most other nations rejected the idea of completely converting to military, although the people did think we should be a defender region. Thoreus and Cognigotoapagawayiagan established a Regional Miliary, which didn't conduct many defending actions due to the "Crisis" which happened just after the military was established. The three successful defender actions were the saving of Hopesia and Pear Island, the two main side-regions (outposts) at the time, which were taken over by the Black Riders, and another small founderless region taken over by a new minor invader region called The Zork Riders. During this peak of regional activity, Cognigotoapagawayiagan created an Apple Island Forums site, which is still standing today. Cognigotoapagawayiagan and Thoreus conducted a new reform of the government, creating the Regional Assembly, writing a Constitution, and creating a whole new voting system which led to many changes in the side government positions.

Regional Crisis - Current

Apple Island's Regional Crisis started when Thoreus, the Founder, was inactive for a week in mid-January 2014. All nations panicked and a few left the region. Some suspicious nations joined, whom Cognigotoapagawayiagan banned immediately. All of the inhabitant's fears disappeared. Soon after this, Cognigotoapagawayiagan was inactive for a week. Some nations planned to overthrow the Delegate, and Thoreus stopped them. The region started to slow down due to Cognigotoapagawayiagan not maintaining the region and forums. Many nations left the region, which Thoreus later called "an illegal act of mutiny". Mewotremulous, who was both a key figure in Apple Island government and history and the founder of Hopesia, one of Apple Island's outposts, left the region and withdrew Hopesia from Apple Island's grasp. Cognigotoapagawayiagan eventually came back, when Thoreus and Cognigotoapagawayiagn recieved telegrams from King Nemphir, the founder of The Eternal Knights, asking if our regions wanted to join forces and contribute our nations to the Eternal Knights to successfully defend regions. Cognigotoapagawayiagan agreed, but Thoreus and other inhabitants did not. King Nemphir soon threatened the region and prolonged unfriendly relations. Soon after, Cognigotoapagawayiagan withdrew Apple Island's embassy from The Fire Dragons. The Fire Dragons contained nations who have commited mutiny against Apple Island. Cognigotoapagawayiagan reasoned with Eggos, the founder, to maintain a friendly relationship anyway, and Eggos agreed. Soon after, though, their Represenative of Regions threatened Cognigotoapagawayiagan for withdrawing the embassy and continued to after they reasoned with them.
