Concordia

Concordia is a minuscule region, inhabited by a few solitary nations and only one World Assembly Member.

The straight-backed, broad-smiling populace of Concordia eagerly dismissed concerns of oppression. Nations in the region are considered developing democracies, with some political freedoms afforded to denizens. The economy of the region is very strong, with a large number of very powerful trading powers. Denizens tend to pay their taxes quickly and quietly, with a median tax rate of 10%. The economies of nations in the region tend to be heavily weighted towards the private sector, with on average 10% of the economy comprising the public sector. Commerce is low priority for governments, accounting for an average of 2% of public expenditure, although commerce is generally seen as a source of tax revenue.

Denizens of the Concordia are poorly educated, with rampant illiteracy. The region's law enforcement is arguably too well-equipped and overzealous, arresting citizens who dare to commit the most minor of infractions. Defense is an overarching priority for governments within the region. One might suggest they are compensating for something. Public transport is a popular mode of transport in the region, receiving on average of 3% of total government budgets.

Nobody really knows about the state of administration in Concordia. Observers asked for information, but found nobody was available to take calls. Hospital patients are given credit checks upon passing through emergency rooms, as no government provision is made for healthcare in the region. Welfare is a large part of government expenditure, with denizens amply provided for. Spirituality is an obsession of governments in the region, with a relatively very high average of 9% of government budgets being devoted to Spirituality.

Social inequality is a major problem within Concordia, although some effort has been made to correct the problem. Natural environments are quite bad, although some measures have been undertaken to ensure that the environment is protected.
