Evil

Evil is a minuscule region, inhabited by a sole nation and only one World Assembly Member.

The straight-backed, broad-smiling populace of Evil eagerly dismissed concerns of oppression. Denizens generally have very few political freedoms, but some limited freedom is afforded to citizens of nations in the region. Economies in the region tend to be stronger than average. Denizens suffer under an enormous tax burden throughout the region, with a median tax rate of 63%, and much higher for the wealthy. The region is a socialist utopia: private enterprise is strictly prohibited in the constituent economies. Commerce is a priority for governments, accounting for an average of 5% of public expenditure.

In Evil education, when conducted, is done with sticks and mud. The region's law enforcement is arguably too well-equipped and overzealous, arresting citizens who dare to commit the most minor of infractions. Defense is an overarching priority for governments within the region. One might suggest they are compensating for something. Public transport is a popular mode of transport in the region, receiving on average of 3% of total government budgets.

Governments in Evil find themselves in a constant state of disarray, with very little co-ordination, only 1% on average of government budgets being devoted to Administration. Governments generally endow their healthcare departments with a large amount of funding, with an average of 8% of government budgets across the region being devoted to healthcare. Welfare in the region is minimal, with only a small amount of expenditure being devoted to spending on social security. Governments in the region are avowedly atheist - no public funds are allocated to spirituality.

In Evil, Social inequality is total, with wealth being held by a tiny fraction of the region's populace. Environments within the region are very good, with a healthy balance of denizen's activity and regard for protection of nature.
