Onett

Onett is a medium-sized region, with a thriving community of 18 nations and only 7 World Assembly Members.

Throughout Onett, traditions are kept strictly throughout the region, punishing upstarts and rabble-rousers harshly. Denizens generally have very few political freedoms, but some limited freedom is afforded to citizens of nations in the region. Economies in the region tend to be stronger than average. The median tax rate of the region is 30%, but is frequently higher for the wealthy. The economies of nations in the region tend to be weighted more towards the private sector, with on average only 44% of the economy comprising the public sector. Commerce is a priority for governments, accounting for an average of 5% of public expenditure.

Onett does not prioritize education in any meaningful way. The region's law enforcement officials try hard to combat a relatively high level of crime, but are hampered by a lack of funding. Denizens have well-funded defense forces. Public transport is an afterthought, with only 1% of total government budgets in the region being devoted to it.

Governments in Onett communicate very well amongst themselves, with administration departments working smoothly, with 2% on average of government budgets being devoted to Administration. Some government provision is made for healthcare, but at an average of only 2% the provision for healthcare in the region is paltry. Welfare in the region is minimal, with only a small amount of expenditure being devoted to spending on social security. Governments in the region are avowedly atheist - no public funds are allocated to spirituality.

Social inequality is rife amongst the nations within Onett. The environments of the nations in the region are almost universally appalling.
