PEEL Colonial Territories

PEEL Colonial Territories is a minuscule region, inhabited by a sole nation.

The straight-backed, broad-smiling populace of PEEL Colonial Territories eagerly dismissed concerns of oppression. Political freedoms are extended only to close friends and relatives of the leaders of the region's governments. It’s the economy, stupid... and in this region, it’s massive. Income taxes are unheard of amongst the denizens of the region. The region is a beacon of capitalism, with the public sector not existing in any meaningful way in constituent economies. Commerce is a priority for governments, accounting for an average of 4% of public expenditure.

Denizens of the PEEL Colonial Territories are poorly educated, with rampant illiteracy. Crime is low: the region enjoys well-equipped and well-funded police forces, coupled with efficient but fair judicial systems. Defense is an overarching priority for governments within the region. One might suggest they are compensating for something. Due to the lack of any Public transport, streets are packed with cars, bikes, and assorted noisy vehicles.

Nobody really knows about the state of administration in PEEL Colonial Territories. Observers asked for information, but found nobody was available to take calls. Some government provision is made for healthcare, but at an average of only 2% the provision for healthcare in the region is paltry. No welfare is provided in the region. Those unlucky enough to fall into unemployment are forgotten and abandoned. Spirituality is a major priority of governments in the region, with a relatively high average of 2% of government budgets being devoted to Spirituality.

In PEEL Colonial Territories, Social inequality is total, with wealth being held by a tiny fraction of the region's populace. The landscapes of the region are no longer recognizable as such, the atmosphere being unbreathable and the only jungles being made of concrete.
