Quesenian Continent is a minuscule region, inhabited by a few solitary nations and only 2 World Assembly Members.
Throughout Quesenian Continent, traditions are kept strictly throughout the region, punishing upstarts and rabble-rousers harshly. Political freedoms are extended only to close friends and relatives of the leaders of the region's governments. Most denizens subsist off of basic farming or menial factory jobs, with few economic imports or exports. Denizens tend to pay their taxes quickly and quietly, with a median tax rate of 11%. The economies of nations in the region tend to be heavily weighted towards the private sector, with on average 19% of the economy comprising the public sector. Commerce is low priority for governments, accounting for an average of -1% of public expenditure, although commerce is generally seen as a source of tax revenue.
Denizens of the Quesenian Continent are poorly educated, with rampant illiteracy. The region's law enforcement officials try hard to combat a relatively high level of crime, but are hampered by a lack of funding. Denizens have very well-funded, well equipped defense forces. Public transport is an afterthought, with only -1% of total government budgets in the region being devoted to it.
Governments in Quesenian Continent find themselves in a constant state of disarray, with very little co-ordination, only 1% on average of government budgets being devoted to Administration. Some government provision is made for healthcare, but at an average of only 2% the provision for healthcare in the region is paltry. No welfare is provided in the region. Those unlucky enough to fall into unemployment are forgotten and abandoned. Governments in the region are avowedly atheist - no public funds are allocated to spirituality.
Social inequality is a major problem within Quesenian Continent, although some effort has been made to correct the problem. Natural environments are quite bad, although some measures have been undertaken to ensure that the environment is protected.
