Seven Eleven

Seven Eleven is a minuscule region, inhabited by a sole nation and only one World Assembly Member.

The straight-backed, broad-smiling populace of Seven Eleven eagerly dismissed concerns of oppression. Denizens generally have very few political freedoms, but some limited freedom is afforded to citizens of nations in the region. Families in the region are so obsessed with the economy that the discussion of laffer curves and supply-side reforms over dinner is a regular occurrence in member nations. Denizens suffer under an enormous tax burden throughout the region, with a median tax rate of 66%, and much higher for the wealthy. The region is a socialist utopia: private enterprise is strictly prohibited in the constituent economies. Stoking commercial activity is a major priority for governments, accounting for an average of 9% of public expenditure.

Seven Eleven values education extremely highly, and denizens compete for the largest number of university degrees and sprawling book collections. There is a very high level of crime within the region and law enforcement resources are stretched thin. Denizens have well-funded defense forces. Public transport is an afterthought, with only 1% of total government budgets in the region being devoted to it.

Nobody really knows about the state of administration in Seven Eleven. Observers asked for information, but found nobody was available to take calls. Governments bestow their healthcare departments with a gargantuan amount of funding, with an average of 19% of government budgets across the region being heaped on to healthcare. No welfare is provided in the region. Those unlucky enough to fall into unemployment are forgotten and abandoned. Governments in the region are avowedly atheist - no public funds are allocated to spirituality.

Throughout Seven Eleven, denizens enjoy great equality, although sometimes wonder why they bother working at all. The landscapes of the region are no longer recognizable as such, the atmosphere being unbreathable and the only jungles being made of concrete.
