Technologica

Technologica is a small region, sparsely populated by only 7 nations and only 3 World Assembly Members.

In Technologica, denizens enjoy their civil rights, although not too much, or too freely. Nations in the region are considered developing democracies, with some political freedoms afforded to denizens. The economy of the region is remarkably unremarkable, with members being neither powerhouses nor basket cases. The median tax rate of the region is 46%, but is frequently higher for the wealthy. The economies of nations in the region tend to be heavily weighted towards the private sector, with on average 39% of the economy comprising the public sector. Commerce is a priority for governments, accounting for an average of 3% of public expenditure.

Technologica values education extremely highly, and denizens compete for the largest number of university degrees and sprawling book collections. The region's law enforcement officials try hard to combat a relatively high level of crime, but are hampered by a lack of funding. Denizens have very well-funded, well equipped defense forces. Public transport is a popular mode of transport in the region, receiving on average of 3% of total government budgets.

Governments in Technologica find themselves in a constant state of disarray, with very little co-ordination, only 1% on average of government budgets being devoted to Administration. Some government provision is made for healthcare, but at an average of only 3% the provision for healthcare in the region is paltry. Welfare in the region is minimal, with only a small amount of expenditure being devoted to spending on social security. Governments in the region are avowedly atheist - no public funds are allocated to spirituality.

Social inequality is a major problem within Technologica, although some effort has been made to correct the problem. Natural environments are quite bad, although some measures have been undertaken to ensure that the environment is protected.
