The Royal Imperial Directorate is a medium-sized region, with a thriving community of 15 nations.

In The Royal Imperial Directorate, denizens enjoy their civil rights, although not too much, or too freely. Nations in the region are healthy democracies, with denizens being afforded an extensive array of political freedoms. The economy of the region is remarkably unremarkable, with members being neither powerhouses nor basket cases. The median tax rate of the region is 32%, but is frequently higher for the wealthy. The economies of nations in the region tend to be weighted more towards the public sector, with on average only 49% of the economy comprising the private sector. Commerce is a priority for governments, accounting for an average of 3% of public expenditure.

Education is a priority for governments throughout The Royal Imperial Directorate, with ample funding being provided and teachers enjoying a great deal of support. The region's law enforcement officials try hard to combat a relatively high level of crime, but are hampered by a lack of funding. Denizens have small defense forces. Due to the lack of any Public transport, streets are packed with cars, bikes, and assorted noisy vehicles.

Throughout The Royal Imperial Directorate, governments find themselves confused, with administration departments being so bloated that staff do not know what other staff are doing, with an average of over 11% of government budgets being devoted to Administration. History

The Royal Imperial Directorate was founded on December 1, 2007. At the time, the only member state was The Great Empire of The Royal United Commonwealth. The initial purpose of The RID was to provide military support to several allies: The United Imperial Directorate (UID), The Empire of Barsus, The New Anti-Axis of Power Association (NAAPA), The Coalition League, and various smaller factions.

Shortly after the founding of The RID, The Commonwealth declared war, and was part of a coalition in The Great Zlostian War, on February 14, 2008. After nine (9) months of war, The RID and coalition forces defeated Zlost, and under the Tropica Treaty of 2008, The RID expanded and gained the nations of Angola, Brazil, Madagascar, and Australia.

Zlost broke the Tropica Treaty of 2008, and The RID and her allies once again declared war on March 19, 2009. This was the beginning of The Second Great Zlostian War. This time, warfare was taken into space, and continued on the planet Earth. Three months later, a rather already weak Zlost, was permanently defeated by The RID and her allies. His Royal Highness, The Most Honorable Emperor Dennis II, as Supreme Commandant of All Coalition Forces, delivered a passionate and deeply profane victory speech on July 4, 2009. After this thrilling defeat, The RID gained the territories of Argentina, Kenya, and Ethiopia.

On September 11, 2009, members of The Empire of Barsus decided to stage a coup against the leader of that coalition. Emperor Dennis II was elected ruler and Commander-in-Chief the next day. This was the dawn of The Coup of The Empire of Barsus. This military fight lasted for eight (8) months, with Emperor Dennis II emerging from yet another stunning victory. The RID once again expanded with acquiring the territories of Namibia, South Africa, and Uruguay. The Barsus Treaty of 2010 was signed on June 1, 2010, and to this day Emperor Dennis II refuses to acknowledge the government of Barsus.

Currently, The Royal Imperial Directorate is home to the founding nation, The Great Empire of The Royal United Commonwealth, it's three (3) territories, The Royal United States of America (formerly The United States of America), The Great Royal Canada (formerly Canada), and The Royal United Kingdom (formerly the United Kingdom). The three (3) territories of The Royal United Commonwealth are:

There are currently thirteen (14) national capitols, three (3) territorial capitols, and one (1) Crown Capitol (The City and County of Brooklyn, DP). The regional headquarters is located at The Royal Imperial Directorate Building, 25 Third Avenue, Brooklyn, DP RUC.

Embassies

The Foreign Affairs Ministry of The Royal Imperial Directorate, headquartered in Downtown Brooklyn, is charged for establishing, and maintaining communications with our Embassies.

RID Embassies on foreign soil are considered the soil of The Royal United Commonwealth, and The Royal Imperial Directorate. In addition, foreign Embassies established with The Royal Imperial Directorate are considered the soil of the Founding Country, and are located within the borders of The City and County of Brooklyn.
