The Kingdom Of Haiyan (chinese: 海盐王国) is an island nation in the East Pacific. The country is a constitutional monarchy with current Prime Minister Tāo Jié Lam taking office in June 2015. The population is as of 2015; 10.1 million.

History

Haiyan has been ruled by the Liao royal family since 1885, when Lin Shun Liao was king, as a absolute monarchy until 1945 when it became a constitutional monarchy. A civil war erupted in 1974, when communist rebels attempted to take over rule in the country and raged for three years until a peace agreement was signed in 1977.

Government

Haiyan is a constitutional monarchy; the Haiyanese Constitution being written in 1946. The government is divided into three main branches; Executive, Judicial and Legislative.

Military

The defense of Haiyan is the responsibility of the Royal Haiyanese Armed Forces, which number around 400,000.

Economy

Haiyan is a developed country with a GDP of around $500 billion, and a GDP per capita of around $31,000.

Geography

Haiyan is located 500 miles off the northeastern coast of the country of Narsora, and also has four smaller islands under it's control.

Law Enforcement

The police force of Haiyan are the Royal Haiyanese Police.
