Ucrovision Song Contest

The Ucrovision Song Contest, or as some people from the Region call it Ucrovision, is an annual competition in The Union of Confederate Regions, since 2017. (RL 2015). After recent popularity with the WorldVision Song Contest within Britonisea and later within the whole region, Britonisea decided to host the first Ucrovision Song Contest in 2017. This was created by a man called Lyast Kining who was the maker behind Ucrovision.

During the Ucrovision Song Contest, nations must send an act or acts on to the stage, where they can perform in front of an audience no less than 2,000 people, but no more than 90,000 people. This is to reduce the pressure for participants. After all acts perform, nations are to vote on the songs, they most enjoy using pts 1, 3 and 5 based on how many nations there are in the contest. This may vary, so the points may change. In the end, the nation with the largest amount of points at the end of the competition will be declared winner of the Ucrovision Song Contest and therefore host the contest the next year; if they refuse to do so, the second place will host the contest, and so on so forth. The contest will be broadcast in contrast to WorldVision so that the dates and the competitions are mixed up, as the WorldVision Song Contest and the World Hit Festival both happen in the same month. It is one of the most watched television programmes in UCR; with an expected 20 billion people watching it, 20% of the region.

Winning Songs

On a cold Doportedas Semptember Day, Langor Empire was picked winner of the Ucrovision Song Contest 2017, where the winner song, who performed 2nd, won the contest, one point in front of Isla Teresa, who was hot favourites to win, gaining the first four points, who performed 10th. Lower down the list was Britonisea, the creator who came an average position in 6 points, only scoring 1 point earned from Andzhalswoodosia. Rushtar, Tylerion Empire and MZAH received nul points, being the first nations to receive this punishing title. Bloc voting was visible in the first contest. For example, Andzhalswoodosia and Britonisea voted for each other while Musitheos and Ndaku both voted for each other. The Nation Genkiania was disqualified from Ucrovision Song Contest because the nation failed to vote. Tylerion Empire is also disqualified. Aloquirbe voted in place for Nightom, meaning Nightom is not disqualified from the next contest.

In Ucrovision Song Contest 1, 2017, 11 nations took part in the contest, including 20+ votes from different nations. In the 2nd contest, the amount participants dropped from 11 to 8, however the organisers where determined to keep the show going for another year, which is set to have a higher amount of participants.

Then Ucrovision Song Contest 2 started, hosted in Boschke following a bid for that competition. A winning bid. This is the place where most nul pointers, Altegonnia, Ninjas Domain and Republic of Trollandia are disqualified for the next contest as they have failed, while nations Tylerion Empire and Genkiania are allowed back in for the contest. This was the last time the event took place in Britonisea as Retiva won the contest with 9 points, and Britonisea with 6 points, placed them in 2nd place. Kingdom Four coming behind with 2 points. Nations who voted have been awarded one point for helping the contest to go on it's two feet. Next year sees the new changes that the contest has put in including the 1 to 5 system, where 5 is the biggest number.
