The VI VS-Armeekorps is a corps-sized military formation of the Rotgeheiman Verteidigungsstaffel. It is made up of one mechanized infantry (Panzergrenadier) divisions, two armored divisions, and a single motorized infantry division. There are about 75,000 troops in total and it is commanded by Generalleutnant Vitaly Fyodor Valentinovich, a native of Porant.
The VI VS-Armeekorps is the only Rotgeheiman corps-sized military formation that goes against the traditional naming convention of the Verteidigungsstaffel. Typically, Armeekorps are formations that have more motorized or mechanized infantry divisions than armor divisions. The reason behind this is that the VI VS-Armeekorps was originally going to be composed of three Panzergrenadier divisions, but a re-shuffling of corps organization in 1914 (prior to the finalization of the VI VS-Armeekorps' order of battle) gave the corps two armor and a single infantry division. In 1916, a motorized infantry division was added to the corps, evening out the ratio of armor to infantry divisions.
