Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2017 (also known as MEHVEH 2017, VMV2017) the second edition of the music contest, which selected the Britonish act for the 55th WorldVision Song Contest, which was being held in Dreiichibu-u-Mousiki, Izmedu and Todlichebujoku. The competition was organised by Brityunik Vefecosoin Cairkovoin (BVC), Britonisea's public broadcaster which focused on home-grown shows rather than international ones. The competition took place in four weeks, raging between the 18th February 2017 and 11th March 2017.
The format of the show was released days before it got under way: It is still quite similar to that of last years contest. 24 songs were chosen by BVC and music professionals. A lot of different genres which will appeal to the Britonish ears were chosen, as well as international submissions too. Only a few of the acts are from the international submissions. The 24 songs are then split in to 3 groups for the semi finals (equivalent to last year's heats) based on gender/group and what type of songs. We tried to make all the semi finals feature something different from each other. Each week, the international jury will be presented with the eight songs (snippets of them) and they have to pick the top few they like. This will be combined 50/50 with the Britonish Jury and televote, and the top 3 will go through the final automatically. Then, the fourth-placer in each semi final will go to the Battles (which is the equivalent to last year's Semi Final). A fourth act will be picked to join those in the battles; and it is likely to be a song which did well in the International Juries but were let down by the Britonish Jury or televote. Then, the songs will be split in to two battles and will go through a head-2-head. An international jury, which will be decided earlier, will pick one of the two out of Battle 1, and the Britonish televote will pick out of Battle 2. On the thursday that this event happens, the winners will be announced and the finals will be announced by the 16th March 2016 [11 in the final, one more than last year]. In the final, International Juries will have more power. They are to vote using the current WorldVision scoring system [12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1]. Countries are allowed to have two sets of votes; Jury and their own televotes/ online votes. They will be amalgamated with the Britonish votes, whom will give out 174 points (WV Scoring x3, representing Televotes, Jury and Online). The winner will be announced on the 26th of March 2017. All entrants in the final will be able to go to Vha Mehlodhivestoile: Encores, in the Westley Theatre on the Thursday after the final.
In the heats, points will be awarded 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and 0.
The shows were hosted by a three people for the first time, Xavier Jorge, Tess Philippa and Mini Surrey North. The winning song of the competition would represent Britonisea in Dreiichibu-u-Mousiki, and would end up performing in the second half of the competition, in position 23. Also, Vha Mehlodhivestoile producers decided to open up submissions to participating WorldVision nations.

Grand Final
During the Grand Final in St Kings Bay, 770 points will be given out. In theory, the votes will be 50:50 International to Jury Votes however, they will be calculated differently.
33% International Televotes + Britonish Jury (254 points given) -This will be 50% Britonish Jury, 50% televotes, including single-voting Ultimaversian nations.
In Phase One, 254 points will be given out. They will be read out from the first performer (Dean Boyst) to the last performer (Lemetre v Tomac), similar to the World Hit Festival 24 in Normandy and Picardy. These results will have been predetermined in the Jury vote, which is a day before the results-show. (So then is the last performance of all acts, not the live final)
34% International Jury Votes (262 points given) -This is compromised of 100% international votes.
In Phase Two, 262 points will be given out. They will be read out in a random order. All 11 acts will (or may not) receive points. The total amount of points one gets will be added together and the percentage they received out of all points given out will be x with 262 to given them their points. Here, the International can give out 8 points extra to the Britonish televote.
33% Britonish Televotes (254 points given)
In Phase Three, the last phase, 254 points will be given out. They will be read out from the least amount of points given to the most, regardless of running order. The Britonish televotes will be conducted in the same system as used in the Semi Finals. In case of a draw, the Britonish televotes will be the deciding factor, and if this doesn't break the tie, then the Britonish Jury votes will.
The Grand Final took place on the 25th of March 2017 at the Kitsune Arena in St Kings Bay. A total of 13,500,000 votes were cast throughout the show.
