The WorldVision Song Contest 73 (or WV73, WVSC73) was the 73rd iteration of NationStates' longest running music competition show, WorldVision. It took place for the first time in Estogium, following it's winning bid for the competition. In the bid, the Rwhitton Vefecosoin Cairkovoin (RVC) stated that they would host the competition in The Crystal Ball, located in The Estograd, making it the first time ever that the competition was held in that city. The competition took place on Saturday, 18th May 2019. The competition was hosted by 2-time Estogian WorldVision Song Contest representative, Israael Kashktar and popular DJ, Riko Wilson.

A total of 26 nations took part in the competition, with there being a disqualification for one nation - Natanya - but regardless of this, there was an increase of the amount of nations that participated in this contest compared to the one before, an increase of eight nations. 4 nations debuted at the WorldVision Song Contest 73; Vdara, Libumelland, Amuaplye and Not Belgaam.

The winner of the 73rd WorldVision Song Contest was Britonisea, with the song "Want You Home" which was sung by Britonish Artist, Alyxhia Willis. Alyxhia Willis had previously represented Britonisea at the WorldVision Song Contest 67 in Darkmania, coming 2nd with 96 points. Her triumphant at the 73rd WorldVision Song Contest makes her one of the most successful WorldVision Song Contest artists ever - coming in the top two both times. Performing 25th in the Grand Final, Alyxhia Willis won with a total of 132 points from 20 nations - the most votes the nation has received in any one edition. Britonisea, as of WV74, now have 5 wins - becoming the 2nd most successful nation at the WorldVision Song Contest ever. Despite being favourite to win the contest, Izmedu finished in 2nd place with 123 points. The Britonish-Izmeduan 1st and 2nd place had been witnessed before at WorldVision Song Contest 64 in Nekoni, where Vha Mehlodhivestoile's and Izmepisma's winning entries battled it out for the 64th WorldVision Song Contest crown with Britonisea ultimately winning. Besen rounded up the top 3 with 101 points, representing the first time the nation had broken the 100-point boundary in their short history at the contest.

Finishing in the last place was debutantes Libumelland with 17 points. Hosts, Estogium came in 9th place with 70 points - their best result since their participation at the 63rd WorldVision Song Contest.

WorldVision 73 in The Estograd

The Estograd is a city that is home to 924,000 people. Right in the North of the city, The Estograd has a beach. There are theatres and museums, where you can find out more about being Estogian! There are also things that we will put on especially for the WorldVision Song Contest, such as things like WorldVision Village - where there will be performances from those participating in the WorldVision Song Contest and also different booths where you can win money and restaurant tokens!

Venue

As said in the presentation; The arena that we will be hosting in, if we host, will be called The Crystal Ball which can hold up to a total of 19,000 people making it one of the largest arenas in the whole of Estogium! It lights up at night too!. The Crystal Ball opened it's doors for the first time in 2017, making it a relatively new arena and very much capable to host such a huge, magnificent event such as the WorldVision Song Contest. We absolutely love the WorldVision Song Contest and so we would love to host it in an arena that is worth it. The 19,000 people will also be treated to very nice seats inside, with there being enhancements to bring the stage to the seats of everyone in the arena. The Crystal Ball, the area surrounding it, is home to multiple different shops such as ELEGAMMENT (who are our official sponsors for this bid) and other fast food shops that will fill you right up before you take your seat for WorldVision. Are you vegan? No problem! We have loads of different places to eat where they serve vegan food. Are you healthy? Sure! There are loads of places you could go to and grab a quick shake before you take your place in The Crystal Ball! You love meat? I do too! There are loads of steakhouses and places to make sure that you're full of meat before you watch the WorldVision performances.

Hosts

The Hosts were announced in the bid, with Riko Wilson and Israael Kashtkar being announced. Riko Wilson is popular in Estogium alone as a musician specialising in EDM and pop while Israael Kashtkar had already represented Estogium at the WorldVision Song Contest, coming 6th and 12th on his first and second participations respectively.

Opening & Interval Acts

The Opening Act was focused on the host Riko Wilson, who wrote both of the songs that started the live broadcast - with Elias Nordin providing vocals for that song. For the Opening Act (which happened after the Nation's Parade), host Israael Kashtkar joined Riko on the stage.

During the contest, there were times when the hosts would have small intermissions so that the stage could be set up in time for certain nations. During the intermissions, each of the hosts showed the Multiverse their talent. Riko Wilson, during his bit, showed a 45 second version of him DJing, while Israael Kashtkar sung a song about "how amazing he is".

The Interval act consisted mainly of interviews, but one song that was played was the winning entry for the 72nd WorldVision Song Contest, Ylinqar - Occhi by Mercedini. Mercedini and Estogium are in the same region as each other, Novapax, making it a regional celebration.
