The 39th World Hit Festival was a World Hit Festival, held in Örkendrem, Darkmania. Darkmania was organizing the event for the first time and its remembered for having one of the most exiting votes in its history. It was won by Izmedu with 42 points.

The Contest

On the winner's press conference on WHF38, DaTV confirmed that Darkmania was to host the WorldFestival in the capital of Darkmania, Örkendrem. This was later confirmed by Ivan Sandic, overseer, that WHF was gonna go to Darkmania for the first time. A budget of around 100 million Darkmanian Danks was set to host the massive event. The motto was "Make Your Wishes Come True", reflecting that their wish on hosting this event came true.

Incidents

Technical Problems during Rehersal

There were multiple reports of technical problems affecting Cleca, Merecendi, Kalmarlund and Normandy & Picardy. The ladder got hit the hardest when their entry was plagued by problems doing the Jury Final. According to DaTV, it was due to bad wiring that was on the mixing table. This was later fixed and it did not affect the live broadcast.

Wrong Points being casted

Besen got 3 points, but the scoreboard displayed 7 points. When Besen cast their points, the mistake was spotted and it was fixed after that point. However, there were reports of mistakes on the scoreboard after this point. The

Sickness

Jërn Trÿsnarnär became ill in the days leading up to the contest. He became healthy just in time for the contest. According to doctor Tÿr Ertÿns, D, he got the flu that "was a pain in the butt".
