The Free Land of Emberwood Coast, better known as Emberwood Coast (ˈem:bər:wo͝od kōst), is a nation that exists on the continent Aurora that has borders with Axdel and Gradea. Emberwood Coast exists between the latitudes 45 South and 50 South, and between the longitudes 54 East and 62 East. The country is highly technologically advanced, featuring a robust research sector as well as a far-reaching Space Administration. The large lake in the center, Mapleleaf Lake, is home to a vast array of temperate wildlife. Most of the nation is colder due to the nation's high latitude, and it regularly snows in the capitol.
A relatively young nation, Emberwood Coast has been around for only about a hundred years. Born from a rough time on Urth, the nation is a breakaway colony of Norograd after the outbreak of the Auroran Imperial War. In 1954, a great war broke out across Aurora. Scientists and archaeologists are working to find out more, but as of yet the event is clouded by a Chroniton Resurgence Field. It is theorized to not have happened yet in the past.

Population
Aura, the capital of Emberwood Coast, is home to 80% of the national population. The urban area is very developed and awash with technological wonders and ingenious solutions to the massive influx of residents.
Urban Centers
Aura
Aura is the Nation's largest city.
It is home to the nation's Administration Center, as well as the Magisterial Council and the Free Assembly Center. Nestled in the center of the city is Arcadia Bay, the nation's primary port and naval center. Arcadia Bay, the largest harbor in the nation, is home to embassies of any nation we have relations with. It houses the Executive Administration Building, as well as Stonewall Point, the space program's primary launch facility. Its famous Seaside Street has several open plots still open for foreign buildings. Northern Aura is a less densely populated area of the city and favored home of many diplomats.

Technology
The people of the Coast value Individuality and Rights above all else. Freedom to be who you are is central to the national identity of this nation. With the rise of nanotechnology in late 2011, "mods" or nanorobotic modifications can be used by individuals to change their appearance and boost their abilities. For safety reasons, the Department of Health limits the number of mods per month to 100.
This nation uses the standardized Metric System of measurement. One second is defined as the time it takes for a photon-wave to travel 299,792,458 kilometers. One meter is defined as the width of 10,204,200,439 adjacent hydrogen atoms.
The public transportation system is highly advanced, employing raised magnetic rail systems, electric cars, and a subterranean metrorail network in major metropolitan areas. Most non-electric vehicles are from foreign visitors and tourists. Both major Coast airlines use solar or hydrogen battery vehicles.
Space Program
The Emberwood Coast Space Exploration Administration employs several thousand employees and contracts out much of its construction work. It has had several successful missions.
