The Secretariat's Council is a proposed body under the aegis of the WA General Assembly to help the moderator staff (aka the Secretariat) dispense rulings on contested proposals before the GA. The council would be largely composed of volunteer players familiar with GA rules -- akin to the volunteers who already help edit issues and mentor roleplayers -- along with one or two moderators serving in a supervisory role. The council would hopefully help resolve issues with the mods' disengagement with forum drafting, resulting in allegedly uninformed and controversial rulings.

During initial discussions about the council's makeup, it was suggested that one or more members be elected rather than appointed, with some proposing that a "WA Secretary-General" elected during an April Fools' Day prank be part of the council. Admins have been warm to opening new elections for a secretary-general, but it is not currently known what role if any the winner will play.
