Its main incidents are the "Stand Up to Sexism" protests during the Olympics and many other multiverse events, the Olympiad Bomber in Amuaplye, who has killed 2 people and wounded another 2 by the time of this writing, and the hazing of ESports athletes, primarily in Cassadaigua.

The Games of the XIII Olympiad are an international multi-sport event being celebrated in the city of Republica, capital of the Free Republics. Karate, skateboarding, and sport climbing made their debut as Olympic events at these Games, while baseball-softball also returned to medal event status. The host nation Free Republics had its most successful performance at an Olympics with its athletes winning a total of 145 medals.

Away from the competition, the Amuaplye delegation was targeted by a number of mail bombs. The tragic death of Liventian skateboarder Frank Nelson and an incident involving an APOC Coalition lacrosse player brought mental health issues into the spotlight. Athletes from Cassadaigua were filmed "hazing" competitors in the E-sports demonstration event.

Republica ran and won an uncontested vote, bidding for the second time after losing out on the host election for the 12th Summer Olympics.
