The Axdel Armed Forces serves as the military of Axdel, tasked with defence of the country, global peacekeeping, humanitarian aid, and to promote the wider interests of the nation. It is a highly capable force, outfitted with the latest technological innovations available, and utilising renown training methods. The equipment of the forces is an approximate 1:2 ratio of Norogradian (pre-1996) to Axdelian (post-1996) units. Due to this, the greatest fraction of the military budget of A♅98 going towards the replacement/upgrading of all of the inherited units.

Army

The Axdelian Army is the principle land warfare force of the Axdel Armed Forces. The force is primarily tasked with the defence of the nation, though it is well capable of overseas deployment and is an able invasion force. The Army has the highest ratio of Norogradian to Axdelian Weaponry, and is currently utilising its budget to modernise and replace all of the currently used arms.

The Axdelian Defence Drome

The Axdelian Defence Drome is an array of interconnected heavy defensive armaments positioned primarily along Axdels borders. Its function is to prevent hostile attacks on the Axdelian mainland and to counter any internal conflict that may occur, e.g. a terrorist attack. The drome is comprised of a multitude of highly advanced and capable weaponry, and is solely responsible for the greatest fraction of army spending. The types of weaponry deployed around the drome include; anti-ballistic missiles, anti-missile/aircraft lasers, rapid-reaction artillery systems and rapid-reaction UCAV's. Whilst primarily for defence, the drome is capable of attacking bordering nations if the need arises. The drome was originally constructed in the 1980's by Norograd, who still feared invasion from the likes of Staynes and Emberwood Coast after the conclusion of The Auroran Imperial War, and desired protection from a hypothetical attack, as well as to improve general security. The drome originally consisted of only fixed artillery positions and anti-ballistic missiles, however during the 1990's it was decided upon to perform major upgrades and digitalisation onto the drome. A design for an anti-missile laser was procured during this period, though development was cut short by the Norograd Civil War. After the stabilisation of Axdel, development continued, and was fully upgraded by the early 2000's. Today upgrades are being made to the remaining stationary weaponry, replacing them with high velocity missiles and longer range lasers, predicted to be completely converted before 2020.

Navy

The Axdelian Navy is the principle sea warfare force of the Axdel Armed Forces. It consists of three fleets, the surface fleet, the sub-surface fleet, and the logistics fleet. The surface fleet is comprised of the (surprise surprise) surface vessels of the navy, whereas the sub-surface fleet is comprised of the submarines, and the logistics fleet comprised of the axillary support and replenishment ships.

The Axdelian National Space Agency (ANSA), is a government run space exploration agency in Axdel, However it is also used as a supplement to the reconnaissance division to operate the nations numerous spy satellites.
