Derecta, officially known as the Federal Republic of Derecta, is a nation situated on the southern part of the European continent, which is located in the European Union. It is a federal parliamentary constitutional republic, comprising of 7 regions (49 provinces and one federal territory). Derecta borders the The Second Serene Republic of Aalen, to the northeast. Etymology
Derecta is the nominative feminine singular of dērectus, which is the perfect passive participle of dērigō (“direct; straighten”).
History
Kingdom of Targan
In 1045, the Kingdom of Targan was founded by King Godfrey I, of the Odalric family, one of the most powerful families in the area, having been granted a duchy by the late king, in a previous kingdom called Dernan.
It took 20 years to conquer all of the territory and the Kingdom of Targan reached its biggest extension.
