Elsa I (Born December 20, 1992) is the Queen of the Kingdom of Arendelle and she ascended the throne in 2010 after both her parents died at sea but she was not officially coronated until 2013 when she became of age. She is reportedly the second monarch to have magical powers to control snow and ice, her ancestor Queen Ingrid being the only other.

Her powers caused her to be isolated at a young age after she almost killed her younger sister in an accident. Her parents died at sea and when she was coronated, she had an outburst causing her to flee after her powers were made public. However, with the help of her younger sister, everything was reconciled and she returned to rule her people again, pushing for more international involvement and modernization of some of Arendelle's infrastructure.

Early Life, Education

Elsa was born on December 20, 1992 during a very cold and fierce winter blizzard, according to common folklore and tradition, in the royal palace of Arendelle. She was followed three years later by her younger sister, Anna, and from a young age, it was apparent she was born with an ability to control snow and ice. Her abilities were mostly used for fun until she accidentally hurt her little sister while playing and was locked away in her room to prevent the knowledge of her powers spreading outside the castle. She received a very thorough and detailed education thanks to private tutors that were hired by the royal family but bound under an oath of secrecy. She excelled in mathematics, geometry, science, and politics and learned French, German, Spanish, and English as additional languages.

Reign as Queen

Ascension to the Throne

In 2010, her parents left for a boat trip to the Kingdom of Corona but they never returned and were likely lost at sea. Upon the death of her parents, Elsa became automatic queen but until she came of age, she could not be crowned so Kai, the Royal Chamberlain, served as the visible regnant while Elsa ruled from the sidelines.

Coronation and Exile

In 2013, Elsa was officially coronated as Queen of Arendelle by Bishop Arren and began the full and rightful Queen. However, during her coronation ball, an altercation with her sister caused her to release her powers and her cover was blown. She then fled into the nearby forest and took refuge in the North Mountain region, temporarily denouncing her position as Queen. Princess Anna became "Acting" Queen and tried to convince Elsa to come back but she failed and was struck by a spell.

Then, Prince Hans of the Southern Isles arrived and succeeded in overpowering her and bringing her back to the Castle. She however escaped but Hans caught her and tried to execute her under the pretense that she killed her sister but Anna thwarted the attempt only to freeze to death. Her act of true love for her sister caused her to thaw however and Elsa learned that love controlled her powers, successfully thawing the frozen kingdom, banishing Hans, and being reinstated as rightful Queen.

Present Day

Presently, Elsa has taken an active role in the leadership of Arendelle, being an absolute monarch. One of her more controversial actions has been forming an alliance with Jack Holland of the Gulf Empire but she has also fought to integrate Arendelle with the modern world and increase their involvement in international affairs and events. Also Elsa is not married, she had a young daughter named Elsa II and her father is disputed and the records officially sealed but it is suspected that Elsa II was fathered by Prime Minister Timothy DesJarlais
