King of the Carians: Head of State, responsible for the Armed Forces, signing international treaties and national laws and overseeing elections and referenda. Can refuse to sign laws and dissolve parliament leading to immediate elections if he deems it necessary to protect Caria's Democracy. If a law is voted by parliament twice the King has to approve it and he may dissolve parliament only once every year. If the new parliament elects the same Prime Minister he will then have to abdicate in favour of his heir apparent, the Duke of Amarysia. The Prime Minister: Head of Government. Has all executive power the King does not, on a federal level. He is chosen by the Parliament and ceremonially appointed by a King. Because of the King's broad power but its limits the King and Prime Minister have to cooperate and compromise in a fine balance between the King and Parliament and a mutual trust that has been achieved over a long period. Has a term of 4 years.
The Ten Nomarchs: Act as semi-autonomous Heads of Government of each Nomόs, elected by their people every 3 years.
Vouli of the Carians: Prepares laws for teh referenda, elected every 4 years. It has two chambers, the Senate and the National Assembly.
Ekklesia of Referenda: Organizes the referenda in which the Carian people directly vote on the laws, previously processed by the Vouli, elected every 3 years.
