The Third Lipnitian Republic (Lipnitian: Trisna Republika Lipnitska), commonly referred to as Lipnitia (Lipnitsko), is a sovereign state located in central western Slavia, on the continent of Slavska, with a population of 35.7 million. It borders Limerdia to the north, Kelxo to the east, and Vely'kky Lviv to the south. Lipnitia joined the Slavian Community in 1999 and the SEU in 2006. It is located on a border of two time zones, SST +1 and SST +2. Practically all citzens of Lipnitia are of Lipan roots, and the National Religion is Lipnitian Orthodox Christianity. Lipnitia is a unitary state, ruled by the Gomocratic Party. The President, Andrei Gomitriev is the leader of the country; he is also the leader of this party.

Etymology

The name "Lipnitia" comes from the name of the Lipan tribes, which were the first slavic tribes to settle on the land of todays Lipnitia, and live here until this day. The word "Lipa" means lime-tree in Lipnitian. The tribe was probably called this because they built huts from lime-wood.

First humans

The first humans to inhabit the lands that todays Lipnitia covers were the Arbablonians, which were a migratory tribe that lived about 2000 years ago. They left behind beautiful pottery, jewellery and statues. They were the first people on the continent to believe in a theistic power, called Abu. They believed he created the world, and all the people came out of a hole in the earth, which he set on fire so the people would not escape. He named the holes "saolinu" which meant volcano. Around the year 100 AD, another tribe called the Parnulians murdered all of the Arbablonians in the so-called "Panbu massacre".

The Parnulian Era

After the Panbu massacre, the Parnulians dominated the lands of the Arbablonians and built many temples for their god, Kululu. In them they sacrificed animals to the god and to the Sun-God, Ftu. Nobody knows where they came from, but they had a really developed civilization until about 595 AD when they suddenly dissapeared. This baffles historians until this day.

Lipan tribes

After the disappearance of the Parnulian tribes, a Slavic tribe discovered their former lands. They quickly claimed it, and named it "Lipa", which means lime-tree. They also had developed a civilization even better than the Parnulians. Unfortunately, they demolished the Parnulian temples, which would be great tourist attraction today. In c.1250, the neighbours of the Lipans intoduced Orthodox Christianity to the Lipans. Soon after the baptism of the Lipans, a richman from the Lipan tribe named himself Tsar of Lipnitia. He took the name Tsar Vladimijer I, and the tradition of Tsars continued for many years. Other notable tsars included Tsar Jurij I, Tsar Sagarin I, and Tsar Vledimijer II.

Lipnitian Empire

One of the Tsars of Lipnitia, Tsar Jurij I named himself Emperor of Lipnitia. This tradition also continued for a long time, and Lipnitia conquered many lands during this process. Many emperors ruled during the time of the Empire, but the most famous ones included Zastava I, Petr I, Petr II, Jurij II and Sagarin II. The Empire was abolished in 1919.

First Lipnitian Republic

When the Empire was abolished, a Republic was established, ruled by Marshall Gorvnitski. After his death, anarchists didn't allow elections to happen. At this time the country was called the State of Lipnitia.

Lipnitian Kingdom

After the abolishment of the Empire, and after the Leader of the Republic died the nation was in anarchy; This was yet solved - the former emperor took power as king causing family to turn into a royal family. The last emperor, Jurij II named himself king and this tradition also continiued for quite a long time.

North and South Lipnitia

In Autumn 1947, a socialist revolt seized a vast territory in the south of Lipnitia. Soon, the Monarchic government surrendered, and monarchy was abolished. The norh of the country was seized by democrats, who established a parliamentary republic there. By winter, Lipnitia was divided into a north democratic state, known as the Second Lipnitian Republic, and south socialist state, known as the Lipnitian Socialist Republic.

Reunification

On the 15th of November 2013, the Demiliritized Zone was invaded by protesters, who in a matter of hours started to break the wall dividing North and South Lipnitia. One day later, the North Lipnitian government announced its support for the protesters, and on the next day, South Lipnitia surrendered and Lipnitia reunited as the Third Lipnitian Republic.

Climate

The climate in Lipnitia varies. It is hot in the summer, but cold in the winter. In the summer, temperatures reach 40 degrees Celsius, but in the winter, even -25 degrees Celsius. The record temperatues are 51 degrees Celsius, in Bukov, Rogovsk Oblast, 1999 and -37 degrees Celsius in Hralav, Trofis Oblast, 2006. In the spring, sometimes snow is still there and the climate is cold, or sometimes the climate is hot like in the summer. In the autumn, it is regularly cold, but there are sometimes exceptions.

Political Divisions

Lipnitia is divided into four oblasts:

Geography

Lipnitia is located in the Great Slavian Highlands, yet this is interrupted by the Krannice Lowlands, and the Grand Plains. Lipnitia also sometimes undergoes earthquakes, such as the one in 2006, due to the location where the two tectonic plates: The Rigniv and the Slaviv plates. This also causes the mixture between highlands and lowlands. Lipnitia is warm in the summer, and cold in the winter, but rainfall is also not rare. This climate creates an ideal habitat for many plants and wildlife, and because of this Lipnitia is one of the countries in Slavia with great environmental beauty. Lipnitia has one river called the Krabna, which is sacred for the orthodox Lipnitians to bath in, and they believe it confesses them from their sins. It is located mainly in the highlands, because it bypasses the lowlands and flows through Lipnitia's neighbouring countries.

Culture

The Lipnitians expanded their culture greatly during their 1000-year old history. It's unique character developed hugely during that time, and the culture became one of the notable ones in the region. These are some examples of Lipnitian culture:

Famous people

Lipnitia is the birthplace of many well-known icons, such as: Nikolai Oborov, Jozef Cegren, Jan Bolgur, Nemede Pardinkov or Sergej Ubskov. Many poets lived in Lipnitia, such as Marzin Nopfelkov, writing about the Lipnitian history, as well as some composers like Benedikt Pinov-Trevak, or Pierre Montendue, who was a Limerdian-born Lipnitian. Robert Konar was an example of a Lipnitan philosopher, father of the False senses theory, indicating that what our senses feel is a creation of our mind, which controls our whole body, not only movement and thinking. Whereas, an example of a faumous painter would be Leopold A Vron, author of many famous religious paintings, such as The Ascension.

Society

Lipnitia has a really old tradition of not discriminating others and letting them live their life just as they wish. It has a high level of gender equality, hence the small number of feminists. Corporal punishment is banned, making everything much more pacific. Lipnitia has experienced immigrants coming in and out of the country in it's long-time history; therefore, they are all welcomed, and the borders are not closed like in many socialist states in Slavia.

Many believe that Lipnitians are the kindest nationality in Slavia; A debate with the citizens showed that 95% of Lipnitians have warm hearts, making it in fact the kindest nation in the region. The fact that children of Lipnitia have developed social skills also came to be true; about 78% of children really help out elder people in Lipnitia, making it also one of the countries where most of the children are good.

Lipnitian people also like strong alcochol, anything from beer to vodka. Lipnitia is also famous for its chocolate factories. A notable Lipnitian sweet manufacturer could be Brogna, or Choco-King. Other Lipnitian food manufacturers, such as Cosmo Chips or CocoCoco Cereal are also really popular.

Sports

Soccer is the most popular sport in Lipnitia, but other sports like Ski jumping, Hockey, Speedway or Weight-lifting are also widely tolerated. Lipnitia is a sporty nation, with only a small 23% of the population overweight. Extreme sports are really popular in Lipnitia, unlike many nations in Slavia.

Music

Lipnitia is one of the few Slavian nations in which rock, metal, dubstep and hip-hop are the main genres of music young people listen, yet the Lipnitian Gold Era in music was in the XVII century, when great composers like Adam Adamov or Zastava Velov lived. They composed very well-known tunes like Pastere, ovci luba or Za gora, za lasa.

Today a minority of Lipnitians still listen to this music, but the new music is starting to slowly wipe out the music from the previous epoch, and revolutionize the modern Lipnitian citizens' taste in music.
